Student Dress Code Clarification

Dear Families–
We are so sorry about any confusion about this–to clarify, Creative City students are encouraged to wear our school colors of blue and green, but we are not a uniform school. Your child can wear anything that does not violate the Baltimore City Schools Dress Code–that is,
No :
- Fur & leather or animal skin jackets, coats, vests, pants, or skirts
- torn clothes look
- Visible gold or silver chains, ropes, necklaces or rings
- Precious stones, or precious metal non-school rings
- Undergarments worn as outerwear
- Wearing apparel printed with vulgar or obscene statements or related to the use of drugs, alcohol, sex & violence
- Footwear such as slippers, thongs, & Flip Flops
- Hats, hair rollers & hair curlers
- Pajama-type attire, undershirts or other bedtime attire
- Shorts, halter tops, tank tops, muscle shirts & see-through tops
- Spandex sportswear
- Athletic jackets or Pro-jackets
- Wearing sunglasses inside the building
- Mini skirts/Shorts
- Hooded sweatshirts
- Head phones
